The Isleworth Collegiate Invitational gets under way this week and TrendyGolf.com are among the sponsors of this years event. The ICI invites the top college golf teams from around America to play at the Isleworth Golf and Country Club in front of their idols such as Charles Howell III, Mark O’Meara and even the world’s number one golfer! This event gives collegiate golfers a chance to compete against other colleges both individually and as a team. Rickie Fowler competed in the event last year and with his recent success, has created even more of a buzz around the competition and has even ‘tweeted’ wishing the teams good luck!! TrendyGolf were there over the weekend and the atmosphere was electric. Let’s hope this tournament leads to more Rickie Fowlers in the near future! Good Luck guys!

Rickie Fowler had an incredible weekend at the Frys.com Open in Scottsdale, Arizona, which is only his 2nd start as a professional. He opened with a 5-under 65 which gave him a place of tied 4th and continued this streak with a following round of 64! His final round of 64 which included a hole-in-one at the par 3 5th earned him a 3 way playoff for the competition against Troy Matteson and Jamie Lovemark. Unfortunately, he lost in the 2nd playoff hole to Matteson and finished tied 2nd, which isn’t too bad seeing as he has now had 2 top 10 finishes in two weeks! This stylish youngster has created quite a stir on the American circuit and has become very popular with golfing fans all over the world! Having taken home a nice check for $440,000 this week which puts him about 130th in the money list, he needs to move into the top 125 to secure his tour card for 2010! This extremely talented golfer is definitely one to look out for in the near future! We sure will be!

Justin Timberlake’s Shriners Hospital Pro-Am Golf Tournament got underway this week in Las Vegas with a field of professional golfers, amateurs and celebrities all playing golf to raise money for the children’s hospital charity. Some famous names participating in the event include Davis Love III, Alice Cooper, Natalie Gulbis and Oscar De La Hoya who are all there to raise awareness for the Shriners Hospital. Justin can be seen sporting some J Lindeberg apparel along with Oscar De La Hoya.
